Arc Raiders Frozen Trail 2.0 Patch Notes
Frozen Trail went live on October 8, 2026 as update 2.0, the biggest Arc Raiders update since launch. It adds the Pendola Pass map, two map conditions, three ARC, two weapons, Amplified Weapons, the Outpost with its Research Station, a reworked Skill Tree and the Reward Pass, and it changes a lot of what you already know: the Anvil is now Rare, the Snap Hook is weaker, Cred is gone and Solo vs. Squads has been removed. Arc Raiders is free to play on all platforms until October 12.
New Content
The big additions. Our databases are updated: see Pendola Pass, the new guns in the weapon database and the new machines in the ARC database.
Pendola Pass
A frozen Italian mountain village and Exodus transport hub beyond the Rust Belt, where one of the Emperors has fallen. It unlocks after 25 rounds played. Flash Freeze storms sweep the valley, and you leave by Ballistic Gondola: activate a transceiver to call one in, then breach a tube and climb aboard. Pendola Pass is also the test bed for Dynamic Loot Zones, where the value of a loot area changes from raid to raid while its loot type stays the same.
Frigate & Redirection
The Frigate is an ARC Operation that can appear on every main map: one of the largest ARC vessels hovers over the area, and Raiders can board it and fight through its corridors for rare tech. While it is active there are no free loadouts, no Raider Hatches, no locked doors and less loot overall. Redirection is exclusive to Pendola Pass: Emperor Beacons activate across the map, and Raiders can loot and deploy them to call Harvester Payloads down onto their own position. Redirection has no Flash Freeze, but watch for falling debris.
Bully, Skulker & Hydra
The Bully gallops onto your position and never lets up. The Skulker stalks from the shadows and ambushes you where you least expect it. The Hydra is a three-part turret that protects the Emperor and the Frigate and can take on a whole squad at once.
Stiletto & Bantam
The Stiletto is an Uncommon semi-automatic battle rifle on Light Ammo with a 10-round magazine that grows to 16 with upgrades: accurate and easy to handle, but harder to control under sustained fire. The Bantam is an Uncommon double-action revolver on Heavy Ammo with 8 rounds, strong ARC armor penetration and a fast hip-fire, at the cost of accuracy and range.
Amplified Weapons
A fifth quality level for 15 existing weapons, unlocked through research at the Outpost. Amplifying a weapon is permanent and opens branching upgrades such as a fully automatic Burletta, a scoped Renegade or a drum-mag Rattler. Amplified weapons have higher durability and are repaired with Amplified Fragments.
The Outpost & Research Bench
A new home base unlocked by completing a project. Expand it with modules, decorate it with furniture and use the new Research Station to unlock weapon amplification.
The Outpost, Research Station & Amplification
The Outpost is unlocked through the Sheltered Retreat project in the new Outpost tab. Full costs are in our Workshop guide.
Skill Tree Revamp
Embark reshuffled the tree, replaced under-performing skills and added real choices. Our Skill Tree guide lists the new tree.
Choice Nodes Replace the Old Large Nodes
In the middle of each branch there is now a single path with a binary choice: pick one of two skills, and you can only change it by resetting your tree. At the end of each branch you choose from three skills and can take up to two of them once you have invested enough points in that branch. Embark expects more tweaks soon as it watches how players use the new tree.
Wall Run, Weapon Bash, Field Repair and More
New end-of-branch options include Sprinting on Fumes, Wall Run and In the Flow (Mobility), Weapon Bash and Bull Rush next to Security Breach (Conditioning), and Road Warrior, Nomadic Crafting and Field Repair (Survival).
Reward Pass, Reward Points & Feats
The Reward Pass replaces Raider Decks. Cred has been removed and replaced by Reward Points, which are applied automatically to whichever pass you have active.
Weapon Changes
Anvil Is Now Rare
The Anvil moves from Uncommon to Rare. Embark says it outperformed weapons at and above its rarity, so it now sits higher in the economy while keeping its power. The Bantam takes over as the Uncommon hand cannon.
Anvil Splitter Becomes an Amplified Upgrade
The Anvil Splitter is no longer a usable mod and the Anvil loses its Tech Mod slot. Splitter rounds are now an upgrade option on the Amplified Anvil. The item no longer drops, but stays in the game for a while so you can sell it or recycle it into Amplified Fragments.
Explosive Damage Rework
Explosive weapons such as the Hullcracker now deal over 50% more damage to ARC armor plates and around 30% less to fragile parts. The goal is more consistent explosive damage and better performance against heavy armor.
Jupiter
Fixed the Jupiter's damage propagating twice to ARC parts behind its target. The result: stronger against armor, slightly weaker against weak spots.
Dolabra, Hullcracker & Ground Pickups
The Dolabra now destroys the yellow weak points inside the Harvester, the Hullcracker no longer looks incomplete when inspected, and weapons picked up from the ground show their attached parts.
New Items & Gadget Changes
Grappling Hook
An Uncommon gadget with a 20 m range that anchors to most surfaces so you can climb, abseil and swing across gaps. You can even hook onto a departing Ballistic Gondola to extract.
Tether Launcher & Yank Grenade
The Rare Tether Launcher fires two shots that link whatever they hit with a line (30 m range, 10 seconds). The Uncommon Yank Grenade anchors a line to its target and pulls it toward the point of impact. Known issue: the Tether Launcher cannot be repaired yet.
Basic & Advanced Cameras
Working cameras you carry Topside. You need one to unlock the Outpost, and several older quests now ask for real photos. Buy one from Shani, craft it at the Workbench or find it Topside.
Mountaineer's Detector, Banjo & Harmonica
A new detector and two instruments. The Banjo blueprint is only available through the Collector Set DLC.
Snap Hook
Range reduced from 20 m to 18 m, durability use doubled from 2% to 4% per use, and power cost raised from 50 to 60. Embark wants it to be the burst mobility gadget next to the new Grappling Hook: several uses on a full charge are still possible, but no longer back to back.
Heavy Shield & Flame Spray
Heavy Shield durability decay drops from 0.20 to 0.15 and its movement penalty from 15% to 10%. Flame Spray range is increased to match its visual effect.
Ziplines
Ziplines now break when something intersects them after they have been placed.
