Craft weapons and weapon mods (barrels, grips, magazines, muzzles and stocks), with higher tiers at each level.
Craft shields (Light, Medium, Heavy) and augments: Combat, Looting and Tactical, up to Mk. 3.
Craft bandages, shield rechargers, Adrenaline Shots, Vita Sprays and Shots, and Defibrillators.

The Outpost & Research Station
The Frozen Trail 2.0 update (October 8, 2026) adds the Outpost, a second base you unlock by completing the Sheltered Retreat project in the new Outpost tab. Build modules, decorate it with furniture crafted from Designs, and use its Research Station, the new bench that unlocks Amplified Weapons, a fifth quality level for 15 guns. Amplifying needs both the Gunsmith and the Research Station at level 4, cannot be reverted, and an amplified weapon drops to 10% durability if you die with it. The first project step asks for a photo of a farmland house around the Ruined Homestead on Blue Gate, so bring a Camera (sold by Shani, craftable at the Workbench, or found Topside). Each Research Station level needs a matching Outpost level, and the later ones cost parts from the new ARC: Skulker Targeters, Bully Fragmenters and a Frigate Inductor. The Gunsmith level 4 upgrade cost is coming soon.
