Arc Raiders Live Update 1.45.0 — Cred Expiration & Unreal Engine 5.7
Live Update 1.45.0 is the last full Live Update before Frozen Trail on October 8. It starts the Ascending the Mountain Raider Project, launches the 5th Expedition, and announces that Cred is being retired: any Cred left on your account expires when Frozen Trail goes live. Under the hood, the game moves from Unreal Engine 5.3 to 5.7, and the community-designed Rubber Ducks finally arrive in the Raider Den.
Cred Is Being Retired: Spend It Before October 8
Embark is removing Cred as a currency to make way for a larger reward system arriving with the Frozen Trail update, alongside a rework of Raider Decks. Cred stays usable until October 8. After that, whatever you have left is gone.
Remaining Cred Expires With Frozen Trail
Spend any remaining Cred with Shani or on outstanding Raider Deck rewards before October 8. Rewards you have already claimed stay on your account, and every existing Raider Deck reward will also be available in the new system (the Legacy Pass, detailed in the Frozen Trail First Look).
Raider Project, Expedition & Rewards
Raider Project: Ascending the Mountain
The phantom ARC signals that worried Shani lead somewhere the Tube system cannot reach: the mountain range just beyond the Rust Belt. Apollo is working on an experimental way to get Raiders there and needs help from anyone who understands schematics. This project is the story lead-in to Frozen Trail and its new map, Pendola Pass.
The 5th Expedition Begins
The 5th Expedition window opens with this update. See our 5th Expedition guide for departure dates, rewards and the new opt-in quest reset.
Community Rubber Ducks Are In
The three winning community duck designs (by gekko.rar, im_AshCheeks and nassguhl) are now in the game. Head to Bird City and display them in your Raider Den. Claim them from your inbox before October 8, after which the inbox message stops being sent.
Store & Cosmetics
The Hornet Hunter Set
New cosmetic set available in the store.
Boonie Outfit
Available from September 15. Store Update 1.46.0 later added Black and Green Camo variants.
Gameplay & ARC Changes
Snitch Scanners Now Spawn ARC Like a Snitch
Deployed Snitch Scanners now call in ARC the same way a regular Snitch does, but with a lower chance of bringing in the stronger ARC.
Aphelion Weapon Sway Reduced
The Aphelion has less weapon sway, making it steadier to aim at range.
Expedition Departure No Longer Resets Quests by Default
Starting an Expedition no longer wipes your quest progress automatically. You now choose whether to reset quests when you depart.
Separate Rebind for Quick Item Cycling
Quick item cycling can now be rebound separately from the quick-use wheel, or disabled entirely, and both can share the same key. This cuts down on accidental item swaps after closing the wheel.
Landing on Moving Surfaces
You now follow a moving surface once you land on it, rather than being carried along while still in the air.
Matriarch Stomp Through Cover
The Matriarch's stomp no longer damages players through tall cover or while standing on top of the Matriarch.
ARC Turbine Mines Can Be Pinged
Mines dropped by the ARC Turbine can now be pinged for your squad.
